Bloom Where You're Planted Card (Set of 5)

During the pandemic I have been homeschooling my three daughters and trying to create fun activities and traditions for my family. When I have a moment's peace, I have found solace in my garden with my watercolors. Sitting in nature, I have been inspired to paint the small details around me. I decided to create greeting cards that coordinate my watercolors with sentiments that would be uplifting and bring hope to those filled with anxiety and worry.

“Bloom Where You’re Planted” has been my mantra since my first day of college back in 1993. I get so anxious about new things and I put up emotional walls in defense. To break down those walls I have to remind myself that I’ve been put here for a reason and that I can grow from my individual experience and make others’ lives around me better just by being my sincere self. That vulnerability takes time for me. Now that I’m 45 I feel my emotional walls melting away more easily because I’ve finally accepted who I am and celebrate my unique life.
